We do everything INHOUSE!
Our team is led by Michael Tottey who has over 20 years’ experience in the building and renovation industry. Michael oversees every renovation project to ensure the highest standards are maintained in the workmanship.
Our aim is to give affordable quality items. We use local suppliers and source high quality products and materials with long warranties. We rule out products that don’t weather or last. We only use top quality grouts and silicones that are mould resistant to keep a great colour consistency for the life of the bathroom. We seal the glass on your shower screen to protect it from the damage caused by the chlorine in our hard water.
We employ professional, qualified and courteous staff, and only use highly qualified trade contractors who are licensed and insured. Each job is finished through to completion with high attention to detail.
We listen to what you want and offer honest advice based on your unique needs and wants. We understand everyone has different budgets, tastes and styles. We will work with you through the design process, and help you choose tiles, vanities, tapware and accessories.
We are fully licensed and insured through the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC). All workmanship is guaranteed for seven years, and is fully compliant with the Building Code of Australia and Environment Protection Act 1994.
We aim to exceed your expectations and deliver the highest customer service. It is our priority to make sure you’re happy with us, as we get most of our work through recommendation from previous clients.
We stand by our quotes. Any extras or additional work will be discussed prior to installation.
We will manage your renovation project from beginning to end. We take care of the demolition, waste removal, carpentry, plumbing, plastering, electrical, water proofing, tiling, installing tapware and accessories, picking up products and materials, even painting if you don’t want to touch a paint brush!
We can also work alongside your chosen interior designer or architect.
Whilst working in your home we lay down rubber flooring in passage and high traffic areas. We keep the site neat and tidy throughout the renovation. Dust is kept to a minimum and waste is removed each day. We don’t use skip bins, looking after your lawn and driveway. We remove waste from your bathroom into our tipper or bins.
Our display bathrooms in our showroom will give you an idea of what you get for your money. However, you don’t have to stick with these. You can pick and choose your products to suit your own tastes and budget. Grab the fancy tiles from our high-end range and mix it with a budget vanity. The choice is yours. Found a timber framed mirror in a homewares shop? We can install that too! We are happy to install items from other retailers. You are not locked in to use our products.
Most bathroom renovations take between 3-4 weeks to complete.
We are local to the Ipswich area and have lived here for over 40 years. We love our city and are proud to be a valuable local business to the community.
Phone, email or message us via social media. We’d love to hear about your renovation project. Most of the time we can give you a rough idea on costs and our availability.
Make an appointment to get an in-home measure and quote. Our in-home measure and quote service costs $80 (inc GST), which is deducted from the cost of your renovation when booked in, or when you spend more than $2,000 (inc GST) on our products. We can take payment over the phone (Mastercard and Visa with $0.54 surcharge), or send you a tax invoice with other payment options.
OR
If you're not quite ready for an in-home measure and quote, make an appointment at our showroom to discuss your project and have a look at our quality workmanship and products.
Your quote will include a detailed list of labour and materials to complete your renovation project. We also list the actual costs for tiles, tapware and accessories (prime cost allowances) and any custom products like cabinets and shower screens (provisional sum allowances). These prime cost and provisional sum items will be included in the total price.
If the price is right and you’re keen to go ahead… Great! Let us know and we’ll get you back to our showroom to go through selections and timeframes for your project.
Please also let us know if our quote is not quite right. Generally we can work with any healthy budget, and there may be ways you can reduce costs. For example, savings can be made by choosing cheaper tiles, tapware and cabinets. You’re welcome to make an appointment to further discuss your project and budgetary requirements.
This is the fun part! Tiles, tapware, cabinetry, and finishes can all be chosen in our showroom. At this point we’ll also book in a start date and discuss timeframes.
You’re not locked in to use our products either. If you’d prefer to supply your own products, please let us know and we’ll deduct the cost of these items from your quote.
At this appointment we will also ask you to sign a Consent to Electronic Communications form. This will allow us to send and receive all documents relating to your contract via email.
We’ll update your quote (based on your selections), and send you a contract and a tax invoice for the deposit and Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) insurance.
Renovations valued over $3,300 are covered by the QBCC Queensland Home Warranty Scheme. It provides protection against non-completion, defective work and subsidence for up to 6 years and 6 months.
Your contract will include the project costs, start and finish dates, and a summary of the staged payments required.
After you sign the contract and pay the deposit and QBCC insurance, we will order your fixtures and fittings and arrange and pay for your QBCC insurance policy.
We’ll make contact with you when your start date approaches to re-confirm the date and timings of your project. We’ll also discuss access to your property for the duration of the project.
Our staff and contractors usually arrive on site between 7–8am weekdays unless previously discussed with you.
During your renovation we will keep in regular contact and provide status updates.
Depending on the length and cost of your project you will receive one (1) or more progress payment invoices along the way. These will be detailed in your contract.
At the completion of your renovation project we will meet with you for a final inspection, and to ensure you’re satisfied with our workmanship.
You will then receive the final tax invoice. Any agreed extras, deductions or variations will be included in this invoice.
During your warranty period, if you have any questions, concerns or repairs please contact us for resolution.

Our family is delighted with the new bathroom INHOUSE have built for our elderly mother in her old Queenslander. Everything from the design to the finish has been done in a professional and timely manner within the agreed budget. The tradesmen engaged were all pleasant and forthcoming with obvious expertise in their fields. Thank you Michael and your team for a job well done.
We recently engaged Michael Tottey from Inhouse Bathrooms to design and build our bathroom. Mick’s knowledge, creative eye and expertise has delivered a beautiful bathroom that was practical, functional and very attractive while still keeping within our budget. We were very impressed with his workmanship, promptness, professionalism and customer service. I am happy to recommend Michael Tottey from Inhouse Bathrooms.
Alan and I would like to thank you for the wonderful work which the staff at Inhouse Bathrooms did on our renovation.
We would like to thank Michael and his team for the work we had done on our bathroom and ensuite. We love them both and would recommend you to anyone looking to get bathroom done. The workmanship was fantastic and every person on the team did a professional job.
Michael and his crew did a great job on our downstairs bathroom/laundry/toilet. The advice that he gave us before he started was spot on and the end result was terrific. His crew was very professional and could not be more helpful. I was especially impressed by the way that they tidies up the work area at the end of every day - no piles of dust and rubbish left on site overnight.
Inhouse Bathrooms have renovated my ensuite and my main bathroom. We were happy with everyone involved from start to finish. If we had a problem with anything it was fixed with no argument. We would definitely recommend Inhouse Bathrooms.
We were extremely happy with the modern and functional bathroom Michael designed and installed for us. All family and friends who get to see it are very impressed and some say it is like the bathrooms you find in swish hotels. Because the quality of Michaels work was so good we had him back to refit and tile the laundry room and, again, it looks fantastic.
Absolutely sensational, from the moment we first spoke with Derren we were convinced. Both his experience and enthusiasm made the selection of colours and accessories a breeze. Nothing was ever a problem and Michael and his team were professional and courteous throughout the entire bathroom renovation. Just brilliant! thank you Inhouse Bathrooms.
